Union Finance Minister in his budget speech of 2004-05 proposed to launch a program to upgrade 500 ITIs over the next 5 year @ 100 ITIs\/year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"schemestitle_con\">\n<h3><span class=\"schemestitle\"><i class=\"fa fa-angle-right\"><\/i>\u00a0Objectives<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"schemescontent\">\n<ul class=\"sul_default\">\n<li>To produce high quality craftsmen from publicly funded ITIs.<\/li>\n<li>To enhance knowledge and skills of ITI instructors and trainers.<\/li>\n<li>To Promote innovations.<\/li>\n<li>To bring about systemic reforms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"schemestitle_con\">\n<h3><span class=\"schemestitle\"><i class=\"fa fa-angle-right\"><\/i>\u00a0Major Components<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"schemescontent\">\n<ul class=\"sul_default\">\n<li>Improving Quality of Vocational Training<\/li>\n<li>Promoting systemic reform and innovation<\/li>\n<li>Project Management, and Monitoring and Evaluation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"schemestitle_con\">\n<h3><span class=\"schemestitle\"><i class=\"fa fa-angle-right\"><\/i>\u00a0Features<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"schemescontent\">\n<ul class=\"sul_default\">\n<li>Institute Management Committee (IMC) is the apex decision making body.<\/li>\n<li>Implementation of Central Management Information System (MIS).<\/li>\n<li>75 % of total fund is provided by Center Government &#038;
